Oscar Predictions 2019

Good Afternoon!

We are mere hours away from the 91st Academy Awards taking place this evening in Los Angeles. There is a lot of anticipation for how tonights ceremony will go. For the first time in 30 years the ceremony will have no official host and instead will be peppered with surprise (and not so surprise) presenters.

I just want to say how disgusted I was to hear that the Cinematography / Live Action Short / Hair & Makeup & Editing awards were due to be given out during commercial breaks in a bid to shorten the televised ceremony. Cinematography is personally one of my most anticipated and favourite awards each year. Despite the rumours that it was due to the fact it would most likely be going to Alfonso Cuaron – who is set to sweep the awards – therefore would have too many acceptance speeches to give I think it sets an appalling example.

Without further ado I present my final predictions for who will be taking the wins tonight (see the nominees in bold) I’ll also be live tweeting the event on my twitter page so come and say hi if you’re staying up to watch the evening play out too!

E! will be hosting the red carpet from 10pm followed by the show starting at 12.30am and both are conveniently showing on the Sky Oscars channel (303)
