Golden Globes Red Carpet 2017

This was NOT a very impressive red carpet in my opinion! We’ve seen much better and a lot lesser award ceremonies. The big trend of the evening was the plunge. I hope to see more daring choices from nominees for the Oscars and bigger and better gowns, suits and hair. Still, there were a few gems, as can be seen below…

Blake Lively is one of the best dressed on the GG Red Carpet (no surprises there) as she STUNS in this figure hugging Versace gown.Im obsessed with the contrasting chain and soft velvet black material. Blake follows suit in the biggest trend of the night – the plunging neckline.

All hail Queen SJP in her Vera Wang wedding dress. Yes, for real, a WEDDING DRESS. Why wouldn’t you wear one the night you’re nominated for your show DIVORCE. The dress ‘Viviana’ is available to purchase for the bargain price of $9420. C l a s s i c SJ              Photo by Getty

Giuliana Rancics red carpet style has evolved wonderfully over the past few years. This astonishingly beautiful gown comes from Lebanese designer Rani Zakhems FW 16/17 collection. The original dress had sleeves but the cut off suits Giuliana’s romantic theme perfectly. Topped off nicely wit 750,000 worth of diamonds decorating her ears and finger. Olivia Culpo AKA Miss Universe made all of the best dressed lists in this insane Zuhair Murad gown. Her muted autumnal inspired makeup was also one of my fave beauty looks of the night – especially teamed with her low braided bun. Photo By Broadimage/REX/Shutterstock

Reese Witherspoon LOVES  a yellow number on the red carpet and I love her IN a yellow number on the red carpet. Her dress (which was tailored to her perfectly) was Gianni Versace teamed with a beautiful Tiffany necklace. Photo: BEI Shuttershock

The beautiful and gorgeous and very pregnant Natalie Porter keeps things timelessly classic in this yellow gown. I’m obsessed with everything from the delicate embroidery to her hair and jewels. Photo By Frazer Harrison / Getty Images

I’ve spoken numerous times about why Gwendoline Christie is always one of my number one fashion & female favourites & last night was no exception in her nude Vivienne Westwood gown. An avid Westwood warrior, Gwendoline never fails to stun wearing her fave designer. Oh Michelle Williams you absolute dreamball. Obsessed with this layered lace Louis Vuitton dress which is modernised by the loosely tied choker. Nominated for best supporting actress for her work on Manchester By The Sea, she certainly looked the part. Photo Getty

Now Lily Collins was placed on a lot of best dressed lists, but for me, this outfit didn’t work at all. I love the Zuhair Murad gown obviously & I think that it really goes well against her natural porcelain skin tone, but her makeup completely ruins the look! Up close the makeup is really impressive but as a whole ensemble the pink eyes with a siren red lip and the pink of the dress look like one big whole crayon-y mess I’m afraid to say! I’m glad she pulled out all the stops as a nominee but I feel like it could have been pieced together a bit tidier! Soz hun! Photo By Jordan Strauss

I think Evan Rachel Wood will be one of the most important women in television this year. After receiving this nomination for her contribution as lead actress of HBOs Westworld, she is sure to encapture the hearts of many. She is an extremely good actress and whilst her character may seem simplified due to the robotic nature of it, to be able to switch from full on robot to humanised robot is a hard skill to conquer. She plays both sides of her role very well with very good consistency. She has also been great at speaking out about issues such as sexual exploitation and rape issues which I’m sure will inspire many to also raise these issues. She looks FLEEKY X 1000 in this Altuzza suit. She even came ready to make statements in her fashion choices ‘I love dresses — I’m not trying to protest dresses – but I wanted to make sure that young girls and women knew they aren’t a requirement. And that you don’t have to wear one if you don’t want to, and to just be yourself because your worth is more than that’ Bravo baby bravo. Photo By Getty

Emily Ratajkowski opted for a yellow satin Reem Acra gown (yellow was a popular colour of the evening) which she looks absolutely astounding in. The way her hair layers over emphasis how perfect her facial structure is and she looks like a supermodel belle for sure. I don’t think I’ve ever seen her look bad on  a red carpet before. Another take on Belle. We see Maisie Williams in a Ong Oaj Pairam canary yellow dress. The dress stole the spotlight both on the red carpet and on instgram as GOT fans gushed at how wonderful it was to see Sophie Turner, co-star and best friend, help Maisie down the carpet by holding her train. M E G A B A B E S. Her hair, makeup and accessories are all as darling as she is herself. Photo By Frazer Harrison

The second half of Mophie and we have the elegantly beautiful Sophie Turner in Louis Vuitton. Her strappy black shoes are the perfect choice with the heavy detailed dress. Is it just me who finds it absolutely bazar that Sophie and Maisie were at a student party after WHP and then the next minute there walking red carpets? WHAT A LIFE! Photo By Frazer Harrison
